Recently watched Raja Singa performed in CM Anexxe (or Annexe? i couldnt tell) and it was entertaining. fyi, Raja Singa is a grindcore band from Bandung, Indonesia.
I dont want to sit here and blablabla about infos of the underground scene/ technically defining how they sounded like as ‘i am not an undergrounder and i only listen to metal when im in a someone else’s car and lighting up in a metaller’s house or my Last.fm player feel like showering me with the fast, heavy tunes’. I’ve seen quite a few of indie and underground bands from Indo (im not talking about Radja or Nidji, Radja Nidji, lol that rhymes) and what amaze me is that, their showmanship on stage. Its almost like their attitude towards performing is like “It doesnt matter of u sound like shit or kneat but if you entertain the audience, i’ll sure ya ppl would be standing rather than lay drunk on their chairs or on the floor”. If that was true, then i concur.
Perhaps local bands should adapt the same attitude. If ppl wanted to hear your music, they would buy your cd, ppl go to gigs to watch you “perform”. There, I rest my case.
P/S: I miss Mocca and Everybody Loves Irene.
