I did it again.
I upgraded wordpress at work.
Jeez.

Even with in fear of my blog getting defaced, i still continued using wordpress due to lazyness to switch to other engine. I am aware of the existance of others out there, for instance, Serendipity sounds nice (altho it reminded me of a scene in “Lets Go To Prison”) but still, i like my sweet juicy simple smilies plugin and SpamKarma (i dont know why, but my blog are constantly being hit by spam every single minutes, im not even famous or anything).

The new version is 2.5.1 and they have major changes in it. didnt bother to read the changelog but from what im seeing (graphical wise), it changed ALOT. the upgrade process has gone to dramatic changes aswell, no more ‘you need to deactivate your plugins before upgrading’ which saves alot of time. just copy your wp-content directory, edit the new wp-config.php and done.

Wordpress just kept getting better and better, but with greatness also come bugness. eventho its riddled with bugs, weekly advisory bla bla bla, it is still one of the best around. been using it for a while now and its always sexy.

now im working part-time as a server admin, managing unix and linux server in Kelana Jaya. 24 hours, 2 days on weekends, which means from 12.00pm to 12.00am for approximately RM400. and yuh, im supposed to educate their staff about linux *adui* .. i forgot to tell them that im such a lousy teacher. yes, about the gaji, is it worth it?

while i was blog-hopping, tiba-tiba i had this sickly feeling about my old dog.com email account. yes, rindu, it was my primary email. my mind was pouring with questions, “what if what if my old account came back to life?” , “what if they offer 100mb like yahoo?” , “what if dog.com is now a porn site?” and so i surf the site after having an imagery of that site offering some beastiality sex dog-humpin is so funny.

and to my suprise! dog.com is offering its web-based free email again. 3 years ago, i used to have an account there, it was great for a few months, but suddently they decided that only the paying customer gets the “@dog.com” while non-paying customer’s (like myself) email account was cancelled and deleted without any notice in advance, and from what i’ve remembered after the free accounts was deleted, they put a notice that free users can only get a “@dogmail.com” and they’re sorry for any loss of information and emails. their exact word was “Try our new dogmail.com account for free”.pathetic. atleast they said they’re sorry and it is forgiven.

since they’re re-offering free email account, so i guess it wouldnt hurt to re-register but this time it wont be my primary email account. Word of advice, Don’t Trust Dogs. if u dont feed them, they’ll bite ur ass.
